Now that I'm working in Schmitz, it is a natural return to the best gyro in town. It's so easy to swing by and grab a to-go in five minutes on the way to my next job. I've also seen people bring their parents or freshman to introduce them to their favorite gyro place. It's pretty amazing what good food can do! The gyros come in two sizes, regular and jumbo. I believe the difference is the amount of meat (or whatever filling). The meat is carved to order and topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and homemade tzatziki sauce in a warm pita and snuggly wrapped in two wrappers to ensure nothing escapes my belly. They take credit cards now, but charge a $0.50 fee for each transaction. Good to know for my card-carrying friends. <p>I&rsquo;ve been a fan of this staple of the Ave since my own undergrad days way too many years ago.
